Nicholas T. Bernard recently earned State of Nebraska professional registration Fire Protection Engineer. Nick is also certified NICET Level III in Automatic Sprinkler Layout.
As a fire protection engineer, Nick’s role as part of the design team is to address fire safety concerns that arise during the design and construction of a building. He may also act as the liaison with government officials, and with building owners to analyze existing buildings to determine fire safety criteria and design fire safety plans.
Nick graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering. As an undergraduate, he completed internships for the Cooper Nuclear Station in Brownville, NE and for Union Pacific Railroad in Omaha. He is a member of American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). Nick has been a member of the Alvine Engineering team since November, 2010.
